It slithered down into the valley

Arriving with the purpose

Relieving
Subduing
The sweetest lie
Comforting

It diffused into the cities
All across the land
And struck hard with resolution

Grim, towering piles of bodies
Like we'd never seen
The corpses looked contented
Peaceful and serene

Diseased and rotting bodies
Lying on the ground
Death throes and ghastly torment
A horrifying sound
A grotesque, repugnant image
A macabre dance
The Hex has overwhelmed us

No hope was to be found

This unrelenting thrashing
Was the end of life
Close behind it surely followed

I picked this one up in advance of a holiday trip. In these times I always need some softer music for my companion which rocks only a little. But SPIRAL GURU's cool 70s influenced psychedelic rock even rocks a bit more. Usually this is not my genre, stuf like Spiritual Beggars or the like, but SPIRAL GURU is definitely charming, maybe because of the female vocals. Further the songs are not too psychedelic, they have a solid catchiness. Check "Signs" or "Oracle". H.L.
